The Masters Leaderboard

The Masters leaderboard is a crucial tool to keep track of the tournament, and the ebb and flow of ranking changes in real-time provides the drama that keeps golf fans engaged. As players make birdies, eagles, and unfortunate double bogeys, their scores fluctuate on the leaderboard, directly impacting their rankings. This constant ebb and flow is one of the many reasons why The Masters has such an enthusiastic following.

Rory McIlroy pushed his opening tee shot right of the fairway at the first hole, catching a bunker. He recovered with a nice chip over the trees at the 2nd and made a short birdie putt at the 3rd. McIlroy is tied with Corey Conners at six under through two rounds.

Bryson DeChambeau bogeyed the 18th hole at Augusta in Round 2, but his bid for his first Green Jacket is still alive. He leads the field by three shots over defending champion Scottie Scheffler, 2024 runner-up Ludvig Aberg, and Canada’s Corey Conners.

Patrick Reed, who was part of the last Masters playoff in 2017, is four shots back in seventh. He will play in the final group with McIlroy and Rose. Should the tournament fail to produce a winner after four days, a sudden-death playoff will begin at the 18th and move to the 10th hole, repeating until there is a single player left. The Masters has been played to a sudden-death playoff on 11 occasions since the format was adopted in 1976.
