NFL Draft 2025 Previewed

The NFL draft is an annual event where the league selects new players to join each franchise. Teams gather at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field to watch names be read out on stage by commissioner Roger Goodell. The first round begins Thursday at 8PM ET, with rounds 2-3 on Friday at 7PM and Saturday kicking off at noon ET. The top 10 picks in the first round are all previewed below, but keep in mind that a lot can change before the final round comes around.

The Tennessee Titans have the first overall selection and are expected to take quarterback Cam Ward after his record-breaking season with the Miami Hurricanes. He led the team to a 10-3 record and finished with the second-most passing yards in college football this year. The Titans lost backup Will Levis in free agency and back-up Mason Rudolph rejoined the Pittsburgh Steelers, so a quarterback will likely be the top priority for the franchise.

Shedeur Sanders, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, is another name to keep an eye out for near the top of the first round. The 22-year-old was a polarizing prospect, but he has the size and skills to make an impact on the next level.

The 49ers have one of the top needs in the league, and they’ve been linked to several defensive line prospects throughout this process. They picked up defensive end Antonio Williams to upgrade their run defense, and they believe he can help their pass rush with 14 tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage last season.
