US Open Schedule 2025

The 2025 US Open starts on Monday August 22 and runs through Sunday September 7. This year’s tournament is played outdoors at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, NY. It’s the only Grand Slam with retractable roofs on Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium. The US Open is contested on acrylic hard courts (Laykold), known for their medium-fast speed and consistent bounce, favoring aggressive baseline play. The women’s match format is best-of-three sets with a first-to-10 tiebreaker at 6-all in the third set; the men’s is a best-of-five-sets.

This year’s top prize is a record $90 million, up $20 million from 2024. The two singles champions will each receive $5 million, and the winner of the men’s and women’s doubles will take home $1 million. The total prize money is the highest of any tennis tournament in history.

If you can’t make it to the grounds, you’ll be able to watch every match at home. The US Open broadcast schedule is available on ESPN, ESPN2, and the Tennis Channel. It’s also streaming on ESPN’s less-expensive streaming tier, ESPN+. In Canada, you can tune into TSN for full coverage; across the pond Sky Sports has it covered.

The US Open also has a free “Fan Week” qualifying tournament from Monday August 18 through Thursday August 21, which is a great opportunity to see rising players in action on the main draw. The qualifiers will also be featured on the US Open app and website.
