It’s the only Grand Slam with retractable roofs on Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium. The US Open is contested on acrylic hard courts (Laykold), known for their medium-fast speed and consistent bounce, favoring aggressive baseline play. The women’s match format is best-of-three sets with a first-to-10 tiebreaker at 6-all in the third set; the men’s is a best-of-five-sets.

This year’s top prize is a record $90 million, up $20 million from 2024. The two singles champions will each receive $5 million, and the winner of the men’s and women’s doubles will take home $1 million. The total prize money is the highest of any tennis tournament in history.
