The Masters Leaderboard – Justin Rose Vs Bryson DeChambeau

As the 2025 Masters approaches, it seems as though golf fans are getting their wish: A battle on the weekend between some of the sport’s biggest stars. Justin Rose sits at the top of The Masters leaderboard after a 71 on Friday, while Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler are all right behind him.

In case you forgot about the possibility of a left-hander winning The Masters, the last time it happened was in 2011. Unheralded South African Charl Schwartzel won by two strokes over Louis Oosthuizen after a stunning final round. It would be quite a sight to see another unheralded left-hander win The Masters this year, and it may just happen.

Rory McIlroy, who was struggling to keep up with the leaders after a round of 75 on Thursday, shook off his bad start to put together a 6-under 66 in round two and sits just one shot back at 7 under. Bryson DeChambeau and Ludvig Aberg are tied for second with the defending champion Scottie Scheffler three shots further back.

Davis Riley and Patton Kizzire were the first players to complete their rounds, with Riley posting a par and Kizzire making a bogey at the 18th hole when he hit his ball into the pine straw and had to punch out and make a four-foot putt.

Bernhard Langer and Fred Couples have yet to finish their rounds, but the two veterans are on track for a top-10 finish. Players who are tied for the lead after the fourth round will enter a sudden-death playoff, which starts at the 18th hole and continues to the 10th before the last player is eliminated.
